My heartfelt sympathies to Sam's loved ones!  I worked with Sam at MPower.  He was an amazing guy and had the best laugh.  He  always talked to me about his grandma - I know you had a very special bond.  We always enjoyed our Big12 football rivalries.  RIP Sam.

I had brief encounter with Sam through QiQi in the last year. He was such a sweet and loving person who made Qiqi really happy. I am very sorry for the loss. I hope the family will find peace and comfort from his contributions to others while he was around.

I went to Canterbury Woods, middle school and high school with Sam, although we ran in different crowds, we became even closer after college. What an amazing, funny, smart, diabolical & lovable  person. I’d always love how he’d used his intellect to shut down people, it was amazing to watch and fun to be around. I am still in shock and incredibly devastated that this soul was taken from us too soon. There was more to come and we all wanted to see what other amazing things Sam would accomplish, create and give to this world. We love you Sam, and will miss you everyday. This  world isn’t the same.

To The Dillon Family my deepest condolences I worked with Sam at NNS one day he comes into work we start to chit chat about our weekend I finished telling him about my when I noticed he was walking kind of funny and asked he if he was OK he had a bruised on his arm so I asked him what happen? Sam  had this laugh that you new it was going to be funny stuff.So he started to tell me that he was in his attic putting some stuff up when all of sudden all he remembers that he was looking up to ceiling he had walked on the sheetrock instead of a 2X4. From the Mandels:   Adventures with Sam, because it was always and Adventure -   ·         Christmas of 1993, Lynette’s family was living in Madison, Wisconsin.  Our family went to spend Christmas with them.  One of the days we all went out to eat at a pizza place.  The server was taking our drink order and Sam as straight faced as ever said “I’ll have a beer.”  I think Lynette was mortified and the rest of us were all trying our best not to bust out in laughter.  The server said he would have to see ID.  Sam looked around, patted his pockets, shrugged his shoulders and said he must have left it in the vehicle.  Sam did not get the beer…he was 6 years old.   ·         When Sam’s family moved to Virginia, Jennifer and I flew out for a visit.  Lynette got us tickets to tour the White House but she had to work.  So, we took Nat and Sam with us.  I guess Sam and Nathalie had been on the tour too many times because in each room, Nathalie would sit down on the floor but Sam laid down on the floor and rolled under the rope to the wrong side.  Jennifer and I didn’t know what to do, but when Lynette asked us that evening how they did, we lied and said everything went just fine.  Sam was 7 ½.   ·         Our families were all going camping and boating to Yankton, South Dakota.  Lynette, Nathalie & Same were in Nebraska visiting as they often did.  We all loaded in the vehicles and took off from Grandma and Grandpa’s farm.  Down the road a little ways, we took a head count and Sam was not there.  He hadn’t gotten into any of the vehicles so we all turned around to go back for him.  For the rest of the trip, we made sure Sam was in the vehicle.   ·         In the fall of 2002, Lynette, Sam and Nathalie came to Nebraska for a Nebraska football game.  While we were climbing up the concourse to our seats we turned around and Sam was not with us!  Jennifer and I were very concerned that we had lost Sam in the Memorial Stadium crowd of 90,000.  But Lynette and Nathalie were not concerned at all and said Sam liked to wander off and see if he could find his way back.  Sure enough, Sam showed up a little later.  Like the commercial says he wasn’t lost, just exploring.  Sam was almost 15.     Sam, Uncle Rich and Cats –   ·         When Lynette moved to San Antonio, Sam moved out there too and lived with her.  Lynette had cats but come to find out Sam really wasn’t a cat person.  Uncle Rich and Sam bonded over this because Uncle Rich really isn’t a cat person either.  Rich would call Sam up once in a while and ask him how his cats were doing.  (Sam was living on his own by then and didn’t even have the cats which Rich knew.)  When COVID started and people were stockpiling food, Rich called Sam and asked if he had enough cat food for his cats.  Sam and Rich liked to tease each other.      Everyone in the family thought Sam would grow up to be a standup comedian.  He was always telling jokes and had the best one-liners.  He ended up being a C.P.A.!?!?!   No one saw that one coming.   Sam had a lively, loveable soul.   We love you Sam.

All my memories of Sam are good ones: Sam looking at stars, Sam exploring museums, Sam running and climbing, Sam dressing for a Christmas pageant, Sam teaching Tianna how to play video games, Sam breaking into a smile for the sheer joy of life.  Sam, Sam, Sam, it seems impossible that you are not just off exploring somewhere.  I pray that your new world gives you and everyone around you the same joy you always shared with us.  Love you, Kiddo!

May God bless you Sam…Sam was my boss at National Neuromonitoring he was very nice and a fun person, I remember when he first started working with us he would bring his lunch bag with the West Virginia logo and I always thought it was the emblem for Wonder Woman until I finally asked him if he liked Wonder Woman and he looked at me funny and I pointed to the logo on his lunch bag and he said it was from his college he had attended. We just laughed. I spent a lot of time with Sam at work and we went out to lunch as a group. He (dept.)always brought us something when he would go on his trips.  I am so sad to hear you leaving us so soon. My deepest condolences to your family.

Sam and I worked together for a short period after he moved to San Antonio. He was a pleasure to work with and was a ray of sunshine all day, every day! When he asked me to help him learn to play golf , I was more than happy to do so and we spent a number of days at the driving range until he was finally ready to play. So we headed for the nearby Par-3 course and on the first hole he hit a hole-in-one!!!  I would like to think it was my coaching but I'm more inclined to believe it was a higher authority rewarding him for being such a good friend and a consistently good guy. I will miss him, as I'm sure everyone will.

I only knew Sam for a short period of time. He was a kind and genuine person. We got along right away.  I will always remember his laugh. My heart goes out to his parents , family and friends. He is already dearly missed. ='(
