In May of 1982, she became an active member of the Good Shepard Church of God where she enjoyed being a part of the congregation. She loved devoting her time listening to the word of God and rejoicing. Her interests included spending time with family, sewing, cross stitching and watching the Spurs. She enjoyed dog sitting her son's pups, Missy, Oz and Haley.
Janie was born in Kingsville, TX. She lived in Michigan, until she decided to make San Antonio, TX her home. She was a God fearing woman, teacher, leader, prayer warrior, friend and counselor. Janie was the spiritual thread that kept everyone together; always giving God the Glory, lifting up anyone who called on her for prayer. Always strong in her faith but ready to listen without judgement.
She will always be loved and remembered for her special smile, gentle touch and the gifts that she made with her own hands. If you have something she made, you were special and if not, she will be making it in heaven.
