She is survived by her husband, Robert "Ozzie" Miller; her sister, Beverly Carrel and her husband Herb; her brother, John Donovan and his wife Janice; and five nieces and nephews and their families.
The oldest of three children, she grew up in an Air Force family and moved all around the country. She had many good friends and was an excellent cook.
She graduated from Western Michigan University with a degree in Education. She loved children and was a long-time teacher and principal in Indianapolis, Indiana. Prior to her retirement, she was recognized by her school and a had a building named after her on campus. She was a role model and an inspiration to hundreds of children throughout her career. When Sandra and her husband retired, they moved to San Antonio to enjoy her family, the weather and the San Antonio Spurs.
The funeral service will be held on Saturday, April 8, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at Porter Loring Mortuary North. Interment will follow in Mission Burial Park North on IH10 near the Dominion.
