

He was an avid fan of various sports such as Golf, Fantasy Football, and NASCAR. He had the privilege of playing Golf with great friends every other Monday.
Las Vegas was his favorite getaway. During his lifetime, he traveled to multiple places on vacation and to visit family.
He served in the military for over 20 years and retired as Sergeant First Class. In his military career he traveled to various countries to provide medical services. He is a Gulf War Veteran who participated in Desert Storm.
He was proud to have worked as a nurse for Baptist Hospital for many years where he provided excellent care to his patients. For that, he was awarded the Daisy Award for Extraordinary Nurses and the Five Star Spirit Award. Sandy happily retired a year ago and was enjoying life to his fullest. He was getting to do all things he enjoyed in life. He was a wonderful husband, but above all he was his wife's best friend. Sandy was loved by many people, especially his wife, family, and his dear friend, Adolph Trevino and he will be deeply missed. He will be in their hearts forever. Sandy had many satisfactions in life and no regrets.
He is survived by his loving wife of 21 years, Carmen Pagan; son, Michael (Marcie) Pagan; two grandchildren, Alex and Anthony; his beloved cat, "Tiger"; sisters, Nydia (Jaime) Gutierrez, Milagros (David) Holthaus; brother, Ed Pagan; aunt, Teresa Ortiz; numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, friends, especially the Trevinos.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Hilda and Santos Pagan; sister, Sylvia; uncle, Angel Antonio Ferran, and other aunts and uncles.
The family will greet friends on Wednesday, November 28, 2012 from 1:00 P.M. - 4:00 P.M. at Porter Loring Mortuary North, and he will lie in state from 4:00-9:00 P.M.
