Sarah Fernandez

Sarah Fernandez was born in San Antonio, Texas on September 5, 1967, and lived life to the fullest until January 17, 2024. She retired from Lifetouch Studios after 25 years, and then managed an in-home child daycare. Sarah enjoyed being outdoors and spending time with her beloved family and friends.

Sarah is survived by her mother, Louise E. Diaz (Lozano); husband, Alfredo “Freddy” Fernandez; children, Angel Fernandez, Vanessa Flores, Kiel and Jessica Kauffeld, Carolina Fernandez; and grandchildren, Gabriel Hack, Ramona Hack, Emelyn Kauffeld, Karter Kauffeld, Matthew Fernandez, Miley Kauffeld, Mason Kauffeld and Aiden Fernandez, and Elijah Liam “Baby Jesus” Velasco.

We are so privileged to hear stories of the positive impact that Sarah has had on so many people. We’ve learned more than ever that whether you knew Sarah as a family member, a friend, co-worker or briefly crossed paths with her, she consistently provided a hand, a shoulder, a hug or a laugh. Thank you for sharing your experiences, and for keeping the memory of our beautiful Sarah alive in your heart.

Sarah asked that friends and family wear blue to her services. If you would like to send flowers, she kindly requested blue flowers, so that she would be surrounded with her favorite color. If you prefer to make a donation in her memory, please consider the organization that Sarah supported, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, or any nonprofit that assists in the well-being of children.
