She was preceded in death by her parents, Jesse and Arizona Heflin; ten siblings; husband, Laymon; her daughter, Joyce Heiney; and a great-granddaughter, Amy Heiney.
She is survived by her daughter, Phyllis Pickard and her husband, John, as well as ten grandchildren and twenty great-grandchildren and other relatives.
Sally was the epitome of the Proverbs 31 woman. Even as a small child she cared and contributed to her family. After marriage, she did the same for her husband, daughters, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
As she became older, her church family and neighbors became her extended family. She was always more concerned about doing for others rather than what others were doing for her. She will be greatly missed, but we all are so thankful we had her in our lives and the wonderful Christian example that she has left us.
