Saul O. Martinez, Jr., age 76, passed away on Thursday, February 15, 2024, in San Antonio, Texas. Saul was born in San Antonio to parents, Adela Ortega and Saul Sauceda Martinez, Sr. Saul honorably served in the Army National Guard and retired after 23yrs of service. He worked and retired from Judson ISD where he was a computer technician. In his free time, he was an outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing. In retirement he loved long drives in the country and spending time with his family. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Ernest Martinez and sister, Lucinda Paz. Saul is survived by his loving wife of 58 years Delia Martinez, son, Eloy Martinez (Sylvia), daughter, Cynthia Lucio (Michael) son, Daniel Martinez; grandchildren; Julianne Lucio (Robert Carmona), Jaclyn Lucio (Carlos Duque), Michael Lucio Jr., Eloy Martinez II (Cecila), Eric Martinez, Steven Martinez, Daniel Martinez Jr. (Esperanza), Gilbert Martinez, Evelyn Martinez, Angel Martinez, Kevin Martinez; 21 great-grandchildren and one on the way; sisters Josie Martinez, Eloisa Flores, Delia Gonzales, brothers, Ruben Martinez, Alejandro Martinez. A private funeral service with military honors will be held at a later date.
