

Sherrill was born in Panama City, Panama to the late Gabriel Alexander Molyneux and Elsie Carmeta Molyneux (née Miller) on March 9, 1946. In her early years, she attended academy at Universidad Adventista de Centro América (UNADECA). Sherrill completed her schooling at Escuela Tecnica de Contabilidad Panamá y de Comercio Gaston Faraudo P.
It was during his first tour to Panamá, Sherrill met Larry William Unger. They later joined in marriage on July 31, 1969 in Panamá City. As he was in the Air Force, she accompanied him on his return to the United States where he was eventually stationed at Kelly AFB, in San Antonio , TX.
It is here in San Antonio that four children were born: Karen Denise, William Ray, Keisha Jeaneen and Kimberly L’Shawne.
Sherrill worked for a number of years in early education at Bethel UMC Daycare. Always a proponent of furthering education, she continued her studies at Our Lady of the Lake University (Bachelors of Arts – Psychology) and Webster University (Masters of Arts – Counseling). She worked as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor (LCDC) for the last 20 years.
Sherrill was an active member of Ephesus SDA Church in San Antonio, Tx, holding numerous roles over the decades including: Sabbath School Superintendent, Sabbath School Teacher, Usher, Pathfinder Director, and Seniors’ Ministry Leader. A lifelong Pathfinder, she was a devoted Pathfinder achieving the height of Master Guide. She was the Assistant Area Coordinator, Master Guide for the Southwest Region Conference of Pathfinders at the time of her passing.
Sherrill is preceded in death by her parents, Gabriel and Elsie Molyneux, her brother Gabriel, sister Marian Gregory (Garry), and her husband, Larry Unger.
Sherrill is survived by her Children: Karen Taylor (William Jr.), William (Leticia), Keisha (Jovon), Kim, and Scott; Godsons: Roger and Rynell; Grandchildren: Dejon, Kiara (LaRell), Tyon, Shania, La'Shon, Colin (Emarie), Keyon, Caylen, Kyle, Brionna and Shakira; Great-Grandchildren: Jeremiah, Christopher, Aaliyah, twins Dejon Jr. and Chloe, twins William and Sidney, Gabriel, Jaxson, Colin Jr., Cashlyn, Khalil, Carsyn, Camryn, Amari, Nyelle and Joel, in-laws: Everett (Elaine), Marsha, Patricia, Sallie, a host of nieces, nephews; and beloved cousins Leon, Miguel (Tito), Leonard (Papito), Ismay, Eva and many others.
Pallbearers will be Capital City Master Guides of the Southwest Region Conference of Seventh-Day Adventists.
Public Visitation will be held 6:00pm Wednesday, August 20, 2025 at Sunset Funeral Home Onsite Chapel.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00am, Thursday, August 21st, at Ephesus SDA Church with Pastor Robert Norwood officiating.
The date and time of her internment at Fort Sam National Cemetery will be shared at a later date.
