Shirley Eileen Carver

Shirley Eileen Carver, age 86, completed her journey here on Earth, Wednesday, October 22, 2025, and is now eternalized with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. She was born on January 11, 1939, in Metairie, LA to Frank and Gertrude (Gutschke) Roemer. She was proceeded in death by her loving husband Donnie Ray Carver (Aug 4, 2015) and her brothers, Richard and William; and survived by her sons Robert Frank Carver of New Braunfels, Tx and Randall Ray Carver and wife Sandy of San Antonio, Tx: grandchildren Randall Ray Carver, Jr (RJ) and Alexandra Brooke Carver. along with numerous nieces and nephews. She loved animals and considered Robert’s dogs Anabella and Sophie her own. Shirley was a graduate of Brackenridge High School’s Class of 1957, where she was a member of the Purple Jackets. She retired from the Ironworker’s Local # 66 and Ironworker’s district Council in 1995. Her greatest love was for her family. Her most treasured passions included her ranches, where you could find her on most weekends tending to cattle and working the land as well as traveling across the Unites States. The family would like to thank her caregiver, Blessed who cared for her in the final weeks.

The family will receive guests from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. Saturday, November 8, 2025, at Porter Loring Mortuary, 1101 McCullough Ave. A Funeral Service will follow at 1:00 p.m.
