She is survived by her husband, Howard R. Harrell; mother, Lucille Williams; son, Dennis Harrell and Sandy; son, Charles Harrell and his wife, Kim; daughter, Karen Harrell-Cate and her husband, Norris; brother, Bill Williams and his wife, Jannelle; brother, Byron Williams; sister, Joan Backer and Wendell; grandchildren, Stacy McLaughlin and her husband, Morgan, Alaina Viator-Tate and her husband, Jon, Walter Harrell and Halie, Hudson Harrell, Jared Nichols; two great-grandchildren, Trevor and Logan.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, August 8, 2013 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Sunset Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Friday, August 9, 2013 in Sunset Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will be at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery on Monday, August 12, 2013 at 9:30 a.m. In memory of Shirley, donations may be made to the Fisher House at Ft.
