Sieglinde Fehrenbach

Sieglinde Fehrenbach passed away on Tuesday, July 18, 2023 at the age of 82. She was born in Mannheim, Germany on April 27, 1941. She and her family lived in the small town of Menzingen during the war, and then returned to Mannheim where she grew up.

At the age of 16 she met her future husband, Friedrich Fehrenbach, on a street car in Mannheim and at the age of 17 she traveled alone to America to marry him. They were united in marriage on November 15, 1958 and remained together for 56 years. They had three sons, Gerhard, Michael and Thomas.

She learned to speak English by watching American television shows. Her ability to learn the English language in this way was a testament to just how resourceful she could be, and how much she could accomplish when she put her mind to it. For several years, she worked independently cleaning houses for dozens of clients, maintaining a very high standard of service. She also worked at several different factories over the years, and had a strong work ethic which endeared her to her supervisors and coworkers.

Sieglinde was a loving wife and mother, and a treasured friend to many. She was devoted to her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, and was a faithful member of Grace Church Helotes. Her generosity touched a great many people throughout her life and her faith and testimonies were an inspiration to all who knew her.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Friedrich; her parents, Walter and Alma Müller, and her three brothers, Erhard, Hebert and Rolf Müller.

She leaves behind her sons, Gerhard (Teresa) Fehrenbach, Michael (Cynthia) Fehrenbach, and Thomas (Susie) Fehrenbach; eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren, and multiple nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be held at 10:00 am on Tuesday, August 1, 2023 at Grace Church Helotes, 14120 Bandera Rd., Helotes, Texas 78023. Interment will follow at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery, 1520 Harry Wurzbach Rd., San Antonio, TX 78209.
