Pg 2. the team up. Dr. Rice (the tallest) hoisted her up and as she is trying to scramble up the wall, she spreads her legs and gives everyone a nice view of the hole in her crotch! Dr. Rice turns beet red, we are all keeled over with laughter. When I asked her if she was embarrassed, she simply replied not really, Im just glad I decided to wear underwear today!

I want us all to remember that Sindy loved life, loved her friends and family fiercely and was an excellent nurse and caregiver. She tried to always be there for you when you needed medical or life advice or just needed someone to care. William and Danielle will carry on her legacy of compassion for nursing and love of life. I know that makes her so happy.

Going forward when I think of her, I will remember her beautiful blue eyes, loving heart and all the laughter we shared. Rest well Sindy, until we meet again. Love you, Jo

Sindy,
Who loved and cared for many people throughout her life. Most will remember her by name and some will remember her as their amazing nurse. She made an impression on everyone she met, with her beautiful blue eyes, warm smile and deep compassion.

Sindy was so proud of her family. She often spoke of her children Danielle and William and her voice and eyes lite up with love and pride.  Dan was the love of her life. She always talked about her amazing family and how much she loved them.

I met Sindy in 1990 or somewhere about that time at work. She was sweet, crazy and a typical ditzy blonde! I mean that with love. Of course I gravitated immediately to her and we were crazy together. Our families shared a lot of time together. We watched our children grow up. We laughed and cried so many times I’ve lost count. I will miss those times the most.

I have many great memories with Sindy and her family. One of them was: We were having a bbq at her house. Danielle and Darlena (my daughter) were playing in her room. They got very quiet so we checked on them and ran into one of the girls coming out of the bathroom, dripping wet with a bucked of water sloshing all over the carpet. We didn’t panic, just asked what she was doing with it, to which she sweetly replied giving the cat a bath. Ok we said and followed her to see where the bathing area was. Of course it was in the best place they thought it should be… Danielle’s carpeted closet!!!
As we opened the closet door wider a terrified cat sprinted from the room and we ended up giving 2 soaking little 5 year old girls a bath themselves. What could you say, they thought they were helping, so no they did not get in trouble. We just laughed until we cried. Indulge me with one more story. We were at a team building exercise where you have to help each other over a very tall wall without any apparatuses. Sindy wanted to be one of the first ones up so she could help get the rest of

Dan, Danielle, and William - so sorry to hear of the the passing of Sindy.  She will be remembered by us and many others as one of the truly fun and forever caring person in any gathering.
Deepest condolences to you all.

Just loved being around Sindy (and Dan). Always made sure everyone had so much fun and filled a room with much laughter. So many memories when they lived in Ft Worth area. 

In an instant everything can change. Rest high on that mountain girl. You are missed by many. A light here on earth has been snuffed out - there is a star shining brighter now.

Dear Childers Family, Diana, and Ruthe.
My name is Karen and I had the privilege of going to school with Sindy at St Thomas and Rosecrans High School. I was shocked and devastated when I heard that Sindy has passed on. She was missed at our class reunion in August but fortunately, Sindy and I  were able to catch up on the phone a week later.  Sindy talked about her kids, her family and Ruthe. We also reminisced about the shenanigans that occurred in our classes at school.  Sindy was a ray of sunshine and was so thoughtful, sincere and so darn funny.  Our entire class loved her. I am thankful to have shared part of my childhood with Sindy. Sending prayers to all of you during this difficult time.
