Sonia Chavarria Di Leo

Our beloved Sonia Jean Chavarria Di Leo, age 54, of San Antonio, Texas, passed away on April 30, 2019, after a courageous battle with cancer. Sonia will be remembered for her gentle spirit, kindness, and willingness to help others. She always put others before herself. Her family and grandchildren were her greatest gifts in life and she cherished every moment with them. She loved the Lord and her church family.

Sonia was born in Wichita Falls, Texas on October 28, 1964. She graduated from South West High School, San Antonio, Texas in 1983. Sonia was an entrepreneurial at heart; she owned a home renovation company, Safety Manager for a Manual Contracting Solutions construction company and as a Merchandiser for Merchco Services.

She loved her work but had to set aside and focus on her health due to Lymphoma Non-Hodgkin's Cancer. During her last 3 and half years, she was still actively involved in the construction business between chemo treatments and as her health allowed. Her priority was spending time with her grandchildren who she loved dearly.

Sonia is survived by her devoted husband, Paul A. Di Leo; her children, Alcaudio Campos III and Jeanette Campos of San Antonio, Texas and Alyssa Ponce of Three Rivers, Texas; her siblings, Myrna Chavarria, Joseph Chavarria both of San Antonio Texas, Ralph Chavarria of Lytle, Texas, Jaime Chavarria of San Antonio, Texas and Denise Chavarria of Winterhaven, Florida. Beloved nieces and nephews; and seven grandchildren. Sonia is preceded in death by her father, Manuel Chavarria of Three Rivers, Texas and mother Geneva Salaiz Chavarria of George West, Texas. Special thanks to Jose Salazar for being there for Sonia.
