Stella "Honey" Gutierrez

Stella “Honey” Gutierrez, born July 31, 1935 in Yorktown, Texas, passed away on December 21, 2019 at the age of 84. She is survived by her loving husband of 64 years, Fred Gutierrez; children, Cindy Hatt (David), Sonya Chapa (Roland), Bonnie Martinez (Rene); sisters, Dalia Reyes, Elodia Salinas; sister in-law, Mary Salinas; grandchildren, Hillary Jankoski, Jake Hatt, Claudia Chapa-Dominguez, Daniel Chapa, Dr. Marissa Martinez, Katie Martinez; great grandchildren, Jacob Hatt, Chase Jankoski, Hunter Jankoski. Visitation will be held at Sunset Funeral Home on Thursday, January 2, 2020 from 5:30 pm – 9:00 pm, with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 pm. Funeral services will be at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church in Kirby on Friday, January 3, 2020 at 11:45 am, with interment to follow at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
