Stella Hildebrand

Our beloved mother, Stella Rodriguez Hildebrand, left us to be with our Lord. Mom was 86 years old when she lost her battle with Alzheimer’s/Vascular Dementia. She passed away on Friday, November 22nd @ 5:55 AM in her hometown of San Antonio, Texas. She was born in Karnes City, TX on September 13, 1938. She was the only daughter of Felix Rodriguez and Mary Sanchez.

She was a devoted and loyal wife, mother and grandmother (AKA Granny Panny). Her family was her passion. She loved going “Glamping”, to Sea World, to sports events, to the bingo and anything that entailed her spending time with her loved ones.

She is preceded in death by her parents Felix Rodriguez and Mary Sanchez, her husband Ruben Hildebrand and her son Ruben Hildebrand Jr.

Survived by her daughter Debi Gil and husband Oscar Gil, daughter Johanna Salazar, daughter Brenda Hildebrand, daughter Melissa Chandler and husband James Chandler, son Ruben Timothy Hildebrand, along with nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Services will start with a Rosary to be recited at Sunset Northwest Funeral Home at 7:00 PM on Tuesday, December 10, 2024. A Mass will be celebrated at St. Brigid Catholic Church at 10:30 AM on Wednesday, December 11, 2024 followed by the interment at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery at 1:30 PM. A reception will be held at Los Barrios Mexican Restaurant proceeding the interment.
