

Stephen Howard Cole, age 71, passed away on Monday, December 4, 2017 in Houston, Texas. He was born on November 14, 1946 in Needham, Massachusetts to Herbert and Jean Cole. He graduated from St. Mary's University with a Master of Social Work (MSW). Stephen later served with the United States Air Force with distinction during the Vietnam Era in the Air Force 71-75 and was acknowledged as an Outstanding Airman of Lackland AFB.
Stephen loved to travel with his family. The most important things in his life were his family, the Lodge and the Synagogue. He was a past Master with Masonic Lodge S.A. Lodge#1079 A.F.&A.M, District Deputy Grand Master District 39-C and a current member of the Davy Crockett Lodge #1225, having recently served as a Secretary. As a member of the Agudas Achim Synagogue, Stephen was a past board Member, Ritual Committee Chairman, Lay Rabbi, Chairman, Past President of Men's Club Federation of Jewish Men's Club; Past Southwest Region President, Past International Treasurer, Past International Vice President and a Maasim Tovim Award Recipient; he was also a lay Rabbi for a local nursing home. Other accomplishments, he was part of the Randolph Area Optimist Club as a Chapter Board of Dir. Member and Boy Scouts Troop 911 as a Scoutmaster and Committee Chairman.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Gary Cole and parents. Stephen is survived by his loving wife of 21 years, Phyliss Cole; daughter, Deena Silverman (Scott), Wendy Goldman (David); son, James Cole (Mary); grandchildren, Elianna, Avigayil, Aaron, Connor, Chaya Emunah, Asher Baruch and Savannah.
