On Friday, September 16, 2022, Dr. Stephen Offenburger passed away unexpectedly at the age of forty years old leaving behind his wife of twelve years Tanya Offenburger, "the love of his life, " and identical twin, two-year old sons Jake Dean and Elwood David Offenburger.
Stephen was raised in Houston, Texas. Stephen earned his Doctor of Chiropractic Degree with Honors, cum laude, from the Texas Chiropractic College in June of 2006. Soon thereafter, Stephen came to work for Airrosti Rehab Centers holding numerous titles including his most recent title of Vice President of Clinical Strategy. Stephen’s colleagues and patients describe Stephen as “a team player,” “selfless and giving,” “humble,” and “a fantastic clinical mind.” His friends describe Stephen as “genuine,” “loving,” and “true."
Stephen’s hobbies included CrossFit and hiking. He and his wife Tanya traveled extensively throughout Southeast Asia and Central America. Stephen and Tanya lived in Southeast Asia , a deeply cherished time in their lives, for years before returning to San Antonio with the goal of having children. They were delighted to be surprised with twins in this regard!
Above all, Stephen was a dedicated husband to Tanya and father to Jake and Elwood, both whom lit a new, additional flame of happiness in Stephen.
Stephen is survived by David Offenburger, his father; Mary Raub, his mother; and Lara and Dexter Cagan, Shane and Linda Offenburger, April and Daryll Waller, and Jonathan and Nataly Offenburger, his siblings. Stephen is preceded in death by his grandparents George and Catherine Offenburger, and Albin and Valeria Raub. He will also be missed by numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins, many of whom affectionately called him "Stevie," growing up. Other nicknames included "Scuba Steve" - he was intensely loved and will always be remembered in the days of his youth and beyond.
