Susan Jewel Linn

Suzi, born in Seguin, Texas, February, 6th, 1950, she was a vivacious, light-hearted, fun-loving person with a wit about her that left everyone laughing. She had a great sense of humor and outgoing personality.

Always up for celebrating, she never missed a party or a fun gathering with family or friends.

She grew up on a farm in central Texas with 6 siblings and parents and grandparents who loved the outdoors. Suzi was her parents’ helper on the farm. She raised cows, goats, chickens, and fish. She married Rex Linn, from San Antonio, and had 4 children. Suzi was an avid gardener and cook. She had an impressive garden for many years and shared her love of gardening with friends and neighbors. She loved reading sci-fi novels, especially Piers Anthony’s. She was an imaginative writer and created a large collection of poetry and short stories. She attended art classes at the Southwest School of Art and Craft. After mastering sculpture, it became her passion for many years, sometimes taking over the dining room table for weeks. Later in life she worked in housing management.

Suzi is predeceased by her ex-husband, Rex Linn, and her parents, Rosalyn and Herman Dietz, and siblings Hope Reeves, Tracy Dietz, and Wayne Dietz. She is survived by her children, Windi (Mark) Semmes, Rane (Jenny) Linn, Misti White, and Skylar (Ariana) Linn. She leaves behind 7 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. They will honor her in their hearts and memories forever.

She will be dearly missed by her friends at the Forum at Lincoln Heights, and by her hospice nurses at Gentiva. Our family will never forget her caretakers. They showed her unwavering love and comfort. We are grateful for them.

A celebration of Suzi’s life will be held on her birthday, February 6, 2026. At 93 Camellia Way, the home of her elder daughter, Windi Semmes. Invitations will be mailed. You may reach her by email if needed. [email protected]
