'It has been one year since Susan left us. Her memory and her spirit have stayed with us strong throughout the year. I miss her so much.'

'I was very saddened to hear the news of Susan's passing. I had worked with her directly through her company "Hands On" for several years for placement of many residents in our homes. She was always GREAT to work with. I knew of her illness and she always courageously fought a good fight. She was so thrilled to have taken the cruise with her son. She spoke of that so many months leading up to their trip and several months after. She will be strongly missed by our Company and myself. Our thoughts and prayers are with all of her loved ones.'

'Due to distance and health circumstances, we never were able to meet Susan in person. We talked by phone and knew Susan was a very sweet and caring person. She was there for our son, Jim Grisham, who passed away a few months ago battling pancreatic cancer. Even though there time together was short, their relationship was a special one. It is never easy to lose someone you love, but we find solace knowing their spirits will live on in the hearts of the people they touched. Our condolences to Susan?s family and friends.'

'Susan, along with Gay Bellamy, her friend and work partner, have inspired me and everyone who knows them with their hearts for serving others.

'Susan and I almost single-handedly cared for 40 to 50 patients in Henry Mayo Newhall Memorial Hospital's Transitional Care UnitTCUin Valenica, CA. At that particular time, the TCU housed short to long term patients, pediatrics and hospice patients. The unit had a north and south wing. It wasn't unusual for us to be the only RN's for each wing teaming and overseeing the work of LVN's and CNA's. 
Susan had great work ethics and was a caring, compassionate nurse. I loved working with her. 
Several times we had the chance to go riding in the hills on her horses in Canyon Country. I will miss her and our sharing of Christmas cards/stories.

I just want to let you know that the short time I got to know Susan she left a lasting impression on my life. I had the pleasure of working with Susan at HealthCare Partners - Cal Ray in Pasadena, California. We had an experience with learning about how to identify the color of people and what each color meant. It turned out that in many ways her and I were a like. She was a very cool person and out going. I remember her Corvette that she loved so much and the walks she would take during lunch to keep fit. Most of all, she was a sharp dresser and a thrifty buyer. She would always tell us about the cool stores she would find her clothes at. But most of the big heart she had. Susan God Bless you always and may you rest in peace.
