Taylor Ashley Reyes, 36, was a shooting star who shone brightly, bringing color, warmth, and sparkle into the lives of everyone she touched. A vibrant and radiant soul, Taylor had a natural gift for joy—an ability to turn ordinary moments into something beautiful, often with a little shimmer and a lot of heart.
A graduate of Clark High School in San Antonio, Taylor earned a National Hispanic Merit Scholarship and headed straight to The University of Texas at Austin. As a proud Longhorn, she studied Fashion Merchandising and Communications, fields which perfectly suited her creativity and eye for beauty. Her love for fashion and self-expression was clear in everything she did, from her personal style to her professional pursuits. She was constantly planning her next travel adventure and working toward her goal of launching her own Latina skincare and wellness brand.
Taylor was a foodie at heart who delighted in discovery. She loved trying new recipes and lived to recreate unique, exotic meals for her family. To Taylor, food was more than nourishment; it was a way to connect, celebrate, and enjoy life’s little luxuries. On the weekends, she could often be found enjoying the sunshine at a local winery or beach. Her love for the outdoors included yoga and hiking with her beloved Bon Bon. She was the "Pinterest queen," creating elaborate boards for every family occasion. From themed movie nights with custom menus to unforgettable birthday parties, she ensured every milestone was magical.
Family meant everything to Taylor, and she loved them fiercely. She shared a special bond with her pets and cherished the time spent with her loved ones, creating memories filled with laughter and care. One of her most treasured traditions was hosting regular "spa days" with one of her nephews—moments of relaxation and play that perfectly reflected her nurturing spirit.
Taylor will be remembered for her colorful spirit, her generous heart, and the sparkle she brought into the world. Though her life was far too short, the love she gave and the joy she spread will live on in the hearts of her family and friends forever.
Taylor was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Angelita and Juan Reyes; uncle, John Reyes; and beloved dog, Luna. She is survived by her parents, Denise and David Reyes; siblings, Danielle Reyes, David Javier Reyes, Elias Reyes, Ethan Reyes, and Isaiah Reyes; nephews, Taylor and Max Reyes; maternal grandparents, Elizabeth and Robert Ruiz; aunts, Kathy Martinez (Chris), Cyndi Franco (Xavier), Lydia Mendoza (Eddie), Linda Reyes, Liz Williams (Michael); cousins, Amanda Perez, Jessica Castellanos, Jennifer Washington, Mandy Mendoza, Andrew Mendoza, Stephanie Trejo, Selena Allen, Nikki Williams, and Ashton Williams; beloved fur babies, Bonnie “Bon Bon,” Sir Oxford Winston Bugatti “Boo,” and Rajah; as well as numerous extended family members and a lifetime of friends.
