Teofilo Rodriguez Cortinas Jr.

Teofilo Rodriguez Cortinas Jr., born on May 25, 1940 in San Antonio, TX went to be with the Lord on June 22, 2014 at the age of 74. He is preceded in death by his parents, Teofilo M. Cortinas Sr. and Esperanza R. Cortinas. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Olga G. Cortinas; children, Jenney (Mike), and Michelle Cortinas; and grandchildren, Joshua, Elizabeth, Meagan, Sophia, and Ivy. He served at Loring Air Force Base in Maine from 1963-1967, and also retired after 40 years of service with USAA. He had a passion for music, and also enjoyed bike riding and bird watching. Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a Baptist prayer service to be held at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 25, 2014 at Trevino Funeral Home, 226 Cupples Rd. Visitation will continue on Thursday, June 26, 2014 from 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. at the funeral home followed by a Rosary at 7:00 p.m. A procession will depart from the funeral home on Friday, June 27, 2014 at 9:30 a.m. for a 10:00a.m. Mass of the Resurrection at St. Cecilia Catholic Church. Interment will follow at San Fernando Cemetery No. 2. In celebration of Teofilo’s life, the family requests that everyone attending services please wear bright colors.
