Thomas (Tom) Farrell Edwards, Sr.

Thomas (Tom) Farrell Edwards, Sr., age 86, entered eternal life in the early morning hours on October 23, 2021. Tom looked patiently forward to the day he could join the love of his life, his wife, Cynthia Ann Edwards in the Kingdom of Heaven. Ms. Cindy preceded him in death on May 18, 2012.

Tom is survived by his children Amy K. Edwards (John Aguilar), Michael D. Edwards (Tammy) and Melinda D. Payne (Jim) and Daughter-in-law Carol A. Smith 15 Grandchildren, 28 Great Grandchildren and 1 Great Great Grandchild. Also left to cherish fond memories are many precious friends that he made throughout the years. He was preceded in death by his son Thomas Farrell Edwards, Jr., Granddaughters Alexis Schae Aguilar, Lilly Grace Bowen, and Grandson Caleb Seth Edwards.

His was a life wonderfully lived. He was not a man who stood down from a challenge. Tom was both a gentle and fierce person, finding the perfect balance between them both. His heart had no boundaries and he feared nothing. A lot could be learned from sitting with him on his porch swing, sharing a cup of coffee and listening to him share his stories of life, love, and loss, among many other things. Those of us who were touched by him will remain eternally grateful that he shared his life with us.

The family would like to express our heartfelt thanks to the Chicks of Valentine, Kingsland Texas. These beautiful ladies, Pat, Susan, Mimi and Diane showered him with love and compassion that sustained him and allowed him to live out his life, on his terms, in the house he built and loved.
