

Thomas Cahalan Gwilliam passed away on Tuesday, November 7, 2023 at the age of 83. He was born in Salt Lake City, Utah on April 27,1940. He was a resident of Texas for the past 50 years. Tom's sudden death was a result of a fatal car accident.
Tom graduated from the University of Idaho with an Architect Degree. He worked his whole life as an architect with numerous architectural firms. His present place of employment was with the Marmon-Mok Architect. He was presently working part-time and enjoyed his colleagues and the work at which he was meticulous in every aspect in which he was involved. This was the perfect fit for him and he truly loved going into the office and being able to contribute to the success of the firm.
The best words to describe Tom were service and loyalty. He was loyal to his family, friends, and colleagues. He loved sports and had a great sense of humor. He was always supportive of his relatives, friends, and their children's sport. He was very excited to have attended Super Bowl 2021, which was his favorite player Tom Brady's last win.
He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Alicia Ramos Gwilliam. He was preceded in death by his twin brother Tim Gwilliam, son Tim Gwilliam and daughter Jennifer Gwilliam. He is survived by his sister Winifred Gwilliam and daughters Kelly Barber (Jim), and daughter Ashley Gwilliam. He is also survived by numerous an cherished relatives including his beloved grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Tom was a very simple man who loved life and enjoyed family time (and sports) as well as a good steak. His family, friends, and work family will miss him, his laughter and his sometimes dry sense of humor.
The Gwilliam family will be receiving guests for Thomas Thursday, November 30, 2023 at 10:00 AM at Sunset North Funeral Home, 910 N Loop 1604 E., San Antonio, Texas 78232, followed by a celebration of life at 11:00 AM. A reception will follow the celebration of life at Sunset North Funeral Home in the Marigold Hospitality Suite. In lieu of flowers, the Gwilliam Family kindly asks that consider making a donation to the American Cancer Society.
