

Jerry was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather. He lived his life with great character, humor and passion for his family.
Born on March 21, 1939 in Refugio, Texas, Jerry attended College Academy in Corpus Christi before lettering four years in football at the University of Houston. Jerry also served four years in the United States Marine Corps.
Jerry began working for Century Papers in 1968 and retired as a regional manager in 2002. In his retirement, Jerry continued to work with Matera Paper as a sales consultant.
Jerry loved spending time with his family, playing golf each week with his friends and working in his yard.
In his last two years he spent much of his time renovating the family's historic ranch house so that it could be enjoyed for several generations to come.
He is preceded in his death by his parents, A. H. and Doris May Harrington.
He will be dearly missed by his wife, Betty Bartlett Harrington; sons, Darren Harrington and Derk Harrington and wife, Phyllis; grandchildren, James and Anna; brother, John Harrington and wife, Gail; sister, Annette Nelson and many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
Jerry left his family and friends with a wealth of stories and memories that will be cherished by all.
