Thomas (Tommy) A. Monaco, age 64, passed away on Wednesday, May 14th in San Antonio, Texas. Tommy was born on January 27th, 1961, in San Antonio, Texas to his parents Sam B. and Mary P. Monaco. Tommy went to Mount Scared Heart Grade School and was a proud graduate of Robert E. Lee High School in 1979. Starting in the early 80's Tommy worked at Circle Electric Co. and succeeded his dad as owner since 1997. Over the last 20 years Tommy has been involved in Independent Electrical Contractors (IEC) holding various board positions at the local, state, and national level.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and his father-in-law, Romulo Martinez. Tommy is survived by his wife, Cynthia; and daughter, Lauren; in addition to his four siblings, Rosemary DeHaven, Sam Jr., Larry (Sharon), Eddie (Martha); and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will receive relatives and friends on Tuesday, May 20, 2025, from 2:00 to 3:15 P.M., with the Rosary to immediately follow at 3:15pm, and Memorial Mass at 4pm. All the events will be held at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church located on 600 Oblate Road in San Antonio, Texas. Father Greg Nevlud will officiate as he did Tommy and Cynthia’s wedding in March of 1989.
