A native San Antonian who retired from Southwestern Bell, he was an active member of the community. He served as a past president of the AT&T Pioneers; a former Commander of the Fort Sam Houston Memorial Services Detachment; a former President of 'Keep San Antonio Beautiful'; served on the Board of Directors of the San Antonio River Authority and was the President of Parking Plan Inc.
A loving husband and father he is survived by his beloved wife of 59 year, his four children and six grandchildren. Visitation will be held on Sunday, August 1, 2010 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Porter Loring.
