Troy Cruz Contreras III

Our beloved son, grandson, and brother, Troy Cruz Contreras, passed away peacefully on November 8, 2025, in San Antonio, Texas, at just two years old. Born on May 26, 2023, Troy was a quiet, precious boy whose hugs were truly felt by every person who had the pleasure of receiving one.

Troy brought light and laughter into every moment. He loved the beach — the feel of sand between his fingers and the sound of waves dancing along the shore. Mickey Mouse always made him smile; he made sure everyone noticed whenever his favorite shoes lit up. As the only boy and a cherished twin, Troy shared a special bond with his sister Genavi that will forever remain unbroken.

Though his time with us was far too short, Troy filled our hearts with immeasurable love. His warmth, sweetness, and innocence will continue to live in the memories of all who loved him.

Troy is survived by his parents, Megan Smith, and Troy Santiago Contreras Jr; his sisters: Amerie, Everly, Marley and his twin, Genny.

A visitation celebrating Troy’s life will be held on Tuesday, November 18, 2025, from 6pm-9pm with a prayer service beginning at 7pm at Sunset Funeral Home. A Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, November 19, 2025, at 12pm at the funeral home with interment to follow at Sunset Memorial Park.
