Trusella McIntosh (affectionately known as “Sweet” or “Sweethoney”) born July 30, 1931 was the fifth child of Willie McIntosh and Gussie Holt. He was reared in Tullahasse, Oklahoma until he left to serve in the U.S. Air Force. After two and a half years serving his country, he earned a certificate to do electric work. Shortly after he began working at the Government Printing Office where he retired in 1980, after 20 years.
He was raised in First Baptist Church and he continued working for the Lord at Greater Beulah Baptist Church in Washington, DC for 30 years before heading to San Antonio, TX in November 1993. While in San Antonio he attended Oxford United Methodist Church until he became ill August 1, 2015. Even though he could not attend church, he never forgot about the church and always asked about it; he remembered the cookies, several members, and how he enjoyed some of the programs and never forgot to tell us how blessed he was.
He was a jolly fellow, loved to converse with anyone that would stop and chat with him. No one was truly as stranger, if given the opportunity he enjoyed talking to everyone about financial investing, politics and current events.
He leaves behind a wife of 60 years, Emmer McGee; three sons, Marcus, Kenneth, and Kegan; two siblings, Vinetta Casey and W.E. McIntosh (Anne) both of Wichita, KS; many nieces, nephews, cousins and loved ones. His parents and three siblings proceeded him in death: James McIntosh, Bernice McPharl, Irene Lewis and Willie May Johnson.
