

TSGT Alfredo R. Hernandez passed into eternal rest on Friday January 14th, 2022, at the age of 75. Al Hernandez was born and raised in Laredo Texas, to the late Maria Rosaria Hernandez. He joined the Air Force after high school and proudly gave 20 years of service. During his time in the military, together with the support of his wife of 40 years, Delia Hernandez and their 4 daughters, he served two tours in Vietnam and enjoyed various assignments in Laredo Texas, South Carolina, Rantoul Illinois, Okinawa Japan, Atwater California, and his final assignment at Bergstrom A.F.B, in Austin, Texas. After his service, he worked for 15 years at the University of Texas, in Austin. When Delia came down with cancer he lovingly cared for his wife, until she lost her battle in 2007. Mr. Hernandez was a loving husband, father, and Grandfather. He was a source of strength and support for those he loved. He is survived by his daughters Christina Hernandez and partner David Espinoza, Corina Hernandez and partner Deanna Regalado, Connie K. Baker and son in law, Sean Baker, Maria L. Adams and son in law, Robert Adams. Grandchildren Emilee Baker, Aiden Baker, and Dustin Regalado. He is also survived by his loving faithful companion Edilma Vallejo, his grandpuppies Emma and Luna, brothers Juan Hernandez and Arturo Hernandez, and various extended family. He will be greatly missed and always remembered as a loving and hardworking man, who lived his life with honor and integrity. The family will receive friends from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm, on Sunday, February 6, 2022, at Porter Loring North Mortuary.
