'Maddie welcomed my family into the neighborhood about 14 years ago. He always reminded me of my dad. They both were retired Air Force. I loved holding my dad's hand no matter how old I was. I always saw Maddie as being that same way, someone whose hand you always wanted to hold.'

'There no words that can describe my love for this man. Although I only had him in my life for 9 years, he was a friend, mentor, father figure, and Grandfather all in one. He was with me the the good times and with me at my darkest moments. Although we were 50 years apart in age his wisdom, advise, and world view is still relevent today.

'I never met MGR in person but talked with him on the phone and email quite regular and he new what i looke like by exchange of pictures. i reget not ever having met in person. This was all because of some one we mutually new.
