Valkyrie Aarika Aul

Valkyrie Aarika Aul was born November 3rd, 2005 in the Puget Sound area of Washington State to parents Christopher and Amy Aul. She was the youngest of her parents children and a joy from the moment she opened her eyes. Known as Val to a number of friends and Kyrie to few, Valkyrie was soulful, beautiful and quirky; she was an artist and music lover. She loved drawing, sketching, painting and make up artistry. She recently learned to crochet and could often be found either surrounded by yards of yarn or an assortment of pencils, paper and paints.

After years of struggling with her mental health, Valkyrie decided to leave this world on January 23rd. She was such a joy to be around - beautiful inside and out - though she never seemed to know it. She always saw the beauty in people and never judged others, for any reason.

She is survived by her parents, Christopher Aul and Amy Aul; her two older brothers, Brian and Nick Aul; her three sisters, Alyssa Aul, Lori Leslie and partner Alan Reyes, and Kelsey Leslie Bernik and husband, Nate Bernik; her nephew, Scott Aul and her niece, Danie Dunbar-Juarez; her maternal grandparents, Bruce Dunbar and Mary Humphries; her maternal uncles, Aaron Dunbar and Eric Dunbar and wife Rachel; and cousin Jaydn Dunbar; and other family members.

A Viewing and Memorial Service will be held at Porter Loring Mortuary North, 2102 N. Loop 1604 E., San Antonio, Texas 78232 on Friday, February 11, 2022. Public viewing to be from 1:00-3:00 p.m. and service at 3:00 p.m. There will be NO Burial service, as she had requested to be cremated.
