April 3rd marked a sorrowful day for our families, as Vanesa Araceli Ramos and her luminous, wide eyed 5-year-old son, Solumen Edj Lopez, were tragically taken
from us, thrown into the heavens on an iridescent winged carriage.
Their existence, a dance of nurturing love and joyous discovery... has been irrevocably wrecked by a force beyond our comprehension, a loss so profound as it is bewildering. Two lives full of infinite blossomings were snuffed out in a single flicker of violent insanity.
Vanesa's spirit, a radiant bubble of energy, was an exquisite presence that shifted and evolved, reminiscent of a butterfly gracing the world with transformational beauty.
Her sweetness washed away bitterness and her playfulness tamed the wilderness.Vanesa lived with purpose and determination, guiding Solumen to explore his world with zeal. Their footprints
patterned the paths of local parks, a testament to their shared adventures. Her messages and posts-a gallery of the vistas they admired, from wildflowers to wandering deer at sunset-capture moments of Solumen's enchantment with the natural world.
Solumen was simply an Earth Angel, pitter pattering up and down the halls of Canyon Ridge Elementary, where his curiosity and joy were kindled, even as he revealed his radiance without words. His smiles were masterpieces and his shrills and giggles were celestial symphonies.
They shared an unwavering bond, with a mutual exuberance for the marvels of nature-a sentiment Vanesa artfully documented through pictures of sunsets and outdoor sojourns that adorned her social media. Her infectious laughter and zest for life will forever resonate in the landscapes they traipsed upon, from the highest peaks to the most obscure nooks.
And although criminally Solumen was not here for long, his presence will echo through the ages. He invited every inanimate object and each piece of loose terrain into his holy rituals, using warm elegant fingers and a divine eye to scatter them through the air, infused with the breath of the creator, landing in a place of their own choosing.
Solumen saw worlds in every little pebble, divinity in every blade of grass, rainbows cascaded through strands of tinsel and galaxies existed in each and every grain of sand
Our family extends immense gratitude for the outpouring of support, the tender words, and the shared memories that bring us solace. Vanesa is preceded in death by her father, Benedicto Roberto Ramos Sr., and her grandparents on both sides. She leaves behind her loving daughter Sariah Alexis Garcia, her husband Jeffrey Lopez, her devoted mother Elva Salazar Ramos, her brothers Benedicto Roberto Ramos Jr., Marco Antonio Fregoso, sister Martha Barrera and brother-in-law Rick Barrera, as well as her nieces Martha Sofia and Eva Loren, and numerous relatives.
Solumen leaves behind, his Dadditi Jeffrey Lopez, his Lolo and Lola Mark and Leonora Lofland, his uncle James Lofland, his aunts Marygrace and Melanie Lofland, as well as his cousins Kaylee, Naomi, Emi, Lana, and his great aunt Kathy.
Vanesa and Solumen, illuminated our lives fleetingly, but ever so brilliantly. Though we yearn for their daily presence, we remain grateful for the precious moments they gave to us. In these trying times, we lean on one another for strength and remember Vanesa and Solumen with love and affection, honoring the joy they brought into our lives.
