Vera Lee was born and raised in Greenville, Texas and was a 1945 graduate of Greenville High School. In 1950, she earned her Bachelor's degree in Physical Education from East Texas State University. While attending college, she met the love of her life, George N. Dickerson whom she married on September 3, 1950.
Vera Lee is preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Rose Stanford.
She is survived by her loving husband of 58 years, George N. Dickerson, Major USAF (Ret); daughters: Diana Dickerson Morff, Caroline Dickerson Stewart and Annette Dickerson Cooper; grandchildren: Larry Dean Knight, Jr., Patrick Allen Stewart, Kiona Cooper and Karina Cooper. She was deeply loved and will be greatly missed.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. on Thursday, April 9th at Porter Loring.
