Verne H. Coy, age 70, passed away December 24, 2017 in San Antonio, TX. He was born on August 5, 1947 in Clinton, MO. He was a proud U.S. Marine veteran and loving father, grandfather, brother and friend who will be dearly missed.
Mr. Coy was preceded in death by his father, Howard Rhodes; stepfather, Charlie Coy; and mother, Josephine Vermaas.
He is survived by his son, Forrest Coy & wife Donna; daughter, Melissa Corbett; sisters, LeAnn McBride, Sherron Springer, Christie Davis & husband Lee; and brother, Charles Coy. Verne also has three grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; ten nieces & nephews; twelve grand-nieces & nephews; and fifteen great-nieces & nephews.
Visitation will be 11:30 a.m., Thursday, January 11, 2018 with the Funeral Service at 12:30 p.m. at Sunset Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at 1:45 p.m. at the Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery with Marine Military Honors.
