Vernon Banks, age 49, passed away on Tuesday, February 21, 2017 in San Antonio. He was born on October 5, 1967 in Misawa, Japan to James B. and Ruth A. Banks. Vernon was an avid sports fan who enjoyed watching WWE and reading about cars. Vernon had a big heart and enjoyed rescuing animals in need.
He was preceded in death by his father, James B. Banks and his sister, Angel Baldwin. Vernon is survived by his wife, Guadalupe Banks; his daughter, Sarah L. Banks and their eight dogs; mother, Ruthann Banks; sister, Theresa Mann and numerous nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m., Friday, February 24, 2017 at Porter Loring Mortuary North.
