Veronica Ann Vega

Veronica Ann Vega was born on August 3, 1964, and from the very beginning, she brought warmth and light into the lives of those around her. On December 21, 2025, Veronica passed away, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and compassion that will never fade.

Veronica had a way of entering a room and instantly making it brighter. Her smile, her optimism, and her genuine spirit drew people in. She was the life of the party - always laughing, always lifting others up, and always making sure everyone felt welcome. To know Veronica was to feel seen, loved, and valued.

As a mother and grandmother, Veronica’s love knew no limits. She was also a devoted sister, a genuine and loyal friend, and proudly known as the favorite aunt. Each role she held was carried with the same deep care, humor, and authenticity that defined her life. Her presence brought comfort, joy, and connection to everyone she loved.

Veronica found happiness in caring for others - tending to her beloved plants, cooking meals filled with love, and opening her heart to anyone in need. She lived with compassion and kindness, always choosing optimism and warmth even in difficult moments.

Though her absence is deeply felt, Veronica’s spirit lives on in the memories she created, the laughter she shared, and the love she gave so freely. She will be profoundly missed by her family, friends, and all who were blessed to know her.

Veronica is preceded in death by both of her parents Lily Lopez (Manuel) and Joe Cruz Vega. Along with many other loving family members. Veronica is survived by her amazing children, Nicholas, Laura and Arthur Jr. as well as her beautiful grandchildren Phoenix and Nayeli.

She is also survived by her siblings, Raul (Judy), Naomi, George (Tracy), Silvia (Jaime), Hector, Ernie, Luisa, and Arnold, numerous nieces and nephews, cousins and friends.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, January 2, 2026, at 6:00 p.m. at Porter Loring Mortuary, located at 1101 McCullough Ave, San Antonio, Texas 78212.

Veronica will be dearly missed.
