Our sweet Vicki has gone to be with our Lord. She has earned her wings, and will fly with the angels. Victoria Martinez, age 54 passed on January 6, 2018. She battled a tough 2 years with Non- Hodgkins Lymphoma, and it was time for her to rest.
Throughout her journey with her illness, she never questioned his plan. Her faith in our Lord never wavered. She was a God-fearing woman, and has now returned home. At the time of death, she was surrounded by family and friends.
Victoria is survived by her husband, Francisco 'Frank' Martinez; Daughters, Mary Ester Espinoza and Valerie Beth Mendoza; Step-son, Steven Martinez; grandchildren beginning with the oldest Elijah Rene, Angelica Briann, Alyssa Lynn, Adreana Celeste Blanco, and Kayla Alahni Woods; Great Grandchild, Amaya

Victoria will be remembered for the love and care so would give so graciously. She cared for many children and was as nurturing as they come. She began her career in child care at Neighborhood Nanny in the early 90s. That is where her passion for child development progressed. She earned her certification in early childhood development from San Antonio College and spent her years working and caring for children.
She was blessed to be the nanny of her 3 boys, Thomas, Marshall and Clark Webb. She loved and cared for them dearly. During her time away from work she would love to go fishing with her Husband. They spent a lot of time in Choke Canyon or Corpus Christi. She loved to host family gatherings and cook for her loved ones.
She was an avid gardener as well, she loved her land and living out in the country with her husband. She enjoyed the country scenic view and tending to her property with her numerous cats and dog. She was loved by many because of the honest and caring person she was. You could always count on her when you needed her the most. She would rarely ever say no, and always put others first. Family meant the most to her and we will carry on her legacy.
The family would like to like to give a heartfelt thanks to everyone that has donated to help lay her to rest. Thank you to Vitas Hospice Care for your comfort and care during her last days. To the numerous friends and family, we cannot thank you enough for the love and support you have given us during this time.
