

During her life, Virginia was a skilled seamstress, a wonderful cook whose spaghetti and meatballs and roast dinner couldn't be duplicated, she loved gardening, enjoyed doing many crafts, and adored her family. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt and friend who will dearly be missed.
Virginia is survived by her loving husband of 55 years, James M. Franklin; son James M. Franklin, Jr. and wife Annette; daughter Sharon K. Siniff; grandchildren Tara (Franklin) and Brock Stratton, Trey Franklin, Tori (Franklin) and Kyle Murphy, Ted Siniff, Jr., and Shannon Siniff; brothers Vick Abate and Gwen and Will Abate and Marie; sister Frances Booher; great grandchildren Aubree, Kailyn, Benjamin, Kade, Alli and Kase.
The family will receive friends from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m., Tuesday, April 10, 2012, at Porter Loring Mortuary North Chapel
