Virginia (Ginna) McDonald, of Oklahoma City, age 92, passed away Wednesday, May 9, 2012 in San Antonio, Texas. She was born on January 27, 1920 in Grand Rapids, Michigan. She is preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, James (Logan) McDonald. She is survived by her two daughters and sons-in-law, three grandchildren, and four great grandchildren: daughter Sally Heidebrecht (Gary), of Orangeburg, SC, their daughters Amy Woolwine (Nathan) and Anna Barwick (Wilbur); also daughter Susan Norman (Tom) of San Antonio, TX, and their son Thomas Norman (Althea). Great grandchildren are Nate and Sally Woolwine, Allen Barwick, and Charlotte Norman. She was loved by family and friends for her honesty, energy, and sense of humor. She went to art school in Chicago, IL, and met Logan at Fort Sill. She was a longtime volunteer and past president of volunteers at Integris Baptist Hospital. A private memorial service will be held in her honor. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to any animal protection or rescue organization.
