Virginia G. Villar

Virginia was born in Cincinnati, Ohio to Marcelino Gutierrez Sr and Felipa on November 23, 1946. She went to school in San Antonio. She married Manuel A. Villar on March 11, 1994, in San Antonio, TX. She worked as a Medical Records Manager for University Hospital for 38 years.

Virginia is preceded in death by husband Manuel A. Villar, son Bernardo Gonzalez, mother Felipa Salinas, father Marcelino Gutierrez, Sr., brothers Marcelino, Jr., Gilbert Gutierrez and sister Alicia Gonzales.

Virginia is survived by her daughter Oralia Perez (spouse Francisco Perez Jr), son George Gonzalez, Lazaro Gonzalez, Jr. and daughter Veronica Lynn Gonzalez; brothers Fred Gutierrez (spouse Remy), Roy Ochoa and stepsister Sara Lopez. Virginia has 17 Grandchildren and 13 great-Grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Carlos Castillo Jr, Andrew Marroquin, Joey Cerda, George Garcia, Jacob Salazar and Robert Escobar.

A visitation for Virginia will be held on Tuesday, May 27, 2025 from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Sunset Northwest Funeral Home, 6321 Bandera Road, San Antonio, TX 78238. A rosary will be recited on Tuesday, May 27, 2025 at 7:00 PM, 6321 Bandera Road, San Antonio, TX 78238. A funeral mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, May 28, 2025 at 10:30 AM at St. Jude Catholic Church, 130 S San Augustine Ave, San Antonio, TX 78237. A committal service will follow on Wednesday, May 28, 2025 at 11:45 AM at San Fernando Cemetery II, 746 Castroville Rd, San Antonio, TX 78237.
