She enjoyed making a difference in the lives of college students through teaching English, which she did for 46 years as a Professor at San Antonio College. Her passion was teaching beginning grammar, and she loved having a lasting impact on the lives of all of her students.
Wanda loved to sing, and was a longtime member of the Mission Belles and Alamo Metro Choruses, which are affiliated with Sweet Adelines International, a women's barbershop singing organization. She sang in multiple barbershop quartets and at church, and could usually be heard humming a song or whistling a tune.
She became a Christian at an early age in Snyder, TX, and devoted 75 years of her life serving her Lord. She and her husband Andy were part of the original membership of the Northside Church of Christ of San Antonio in 1977, and have remained faithful members.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to the Lynn McDonald College Scholarship fund through Northside Church of Christ.
The celebration of Kitten's life will be Sunday, October 30, 2:00 pm, at Northside Church of Christ, 19818 US HWY. 281 N, San Antonio, TX.
