Wanda Maxiene Gaskin

Maxiene Gaskin was born on April 29, 1923 in Henryetta, OK. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Maxiene was preceded in death by her husband of 41 years, Carl E. Gaskin, Jr., her son Robert M. Gaskin, her brother "Buddy" Hayes and her parents. She is survived by her son, Larry E. Gaskin, her daughter, Carlene Gaskin McDevitt, her grandchildren: Charle A. Gaskin, Larry E. Gaskin, Jr., and Kirt L. Gaskin and 8 great grandchildren, in addition to 6 nieces & nephews.

Maxiene was a giving person with simple values and a good sense of humor. She took much pride in her home, always working hard whether at home or when supporting her husband Carl in the homebuilding/land development business and then later in the cattle & ranching industry. Her family was a great source of pride and love to her throughout her life. We will all miss her and her kind, loving spirit.

In recent years her church family became like a 2nd family to her. She derived much comfort, love and companionship from members of the congregation, too numerous to name, whom she considered friends. Recently her caregivers Bertha, Noemi and Maria were wonderful, patient companions. She had many kind, helpful neighbors, particularly Barbara and Bridget. The love and support from all of these friends, particularly the last few years, was much appreciated.
