Col. Holt served 39 years in the military and retired in 2003 from the USAF Reserve. Werner was a member of the Bulverde United Methodist Church and enjoyed volunteering at the Bulverde Food Pantry.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Mathilde and Herbert Eugene Holt.
Werner is survived by loving wife, Grace; children, Van Holt and Annette, Chris Holt, Stacy Rodgers; seven grandchildren; sister, Hannelore Searcy; mother-in-law, Marion Coulter; aunt, Grace Dilworth.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M., Monday, November 22, 2010 at Porter Loring Mortuary North.
