

William was a devoted and loving husband who loved hunting, fishing, and cigars. He was also an avid collector of knives, guns and flashlights. His loving kind-hearted nature and willingness to help all who surrounded him is his legacy.
He loved working for Union Pacific Railroad as an engineer. Traveling the Texas countryside by rail made his spirit soar. William always found the time to visit and help his family, friends and neighbors.
William was preceded in death by his mother; paternal grandfather, William Cook; maternal grandfather, Jenaro Garza and aunt, Mary Frances Garza. He is survived by his wife of 13 years, Jeanne Cook; father, William J. Cook; brother, Robert Hadley, Sr. and wife, Nancy; sister, Mary Toepperwein and husband, Chad; sister, Sarah Cook and partner, Ky Osborn; nieces and nephews who lovingly referred to him as "Uncle Willy or "Uncle Hardy", Robert Paul Hadley, Jr., Lauren Vance, Ben Hancock, Katie Evans, Amanda Hancock, Jennifer Jimenez, Jason Jimenez, Lauren Krupa, Ashley Krupa, Anthony Krupa, Joseph Krupa, Nicholas Krupa, Emily Krupa, Matthew Krupa, Amanda Krupa, Kelly Krupa, Jacob Krupa, Phillip Krupa, Peyton Krupa, Samuel Krupa, Luke Krupa, Addison Vance, Holden Krupa, Reagan Hadley, Rylee Hadley, Jack Hancock, Camryn Hancock, Emmett Vance and Reese Hadley; paternal grandmother, Vieva "Odie" Cook, maternal grandmother, Manuela "Mamie" Garza and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. William will be missed dearly by his numerous family, friends and neighbors.
The family will receive friends for viewing and visitation from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Monday, August 17, 2015 at Porter Loring North.
