

William was born on June 16, 1976, in Hattiesburg, MS, to Allen Leroy Fairley and Helen Sue Barrett. He attended Stone High School in Wiggins, MS, before graduating from the IBEW Local 903 apprenticeship program in 2002. William began his electrical career in 1999 with Allen Electric in Long Beach, MS. He later joined Doleac in Gulfport, MS, where he worked as a journeyman before advancing to a Project Manager and Estimator role. In 2016, William relocated to San Antonio, TX, where he ultimately joined Big State Electric as a Senior Estimator. Known for his integrity and strong work ethic, William made a lasting impact in every role he held.
William had a deep passion for the outdoors, especially hunting, fishing, riding 4-wheelers, and floating the creek. Whether it was chasing the thrill of a big catch, spending quiet moments in the woods, cruising through trails on his 4-wheeler, or leisurely drifting down the creek, he found peace and joy in these activities. He cherished the time spent with family and friends, often sharing stories of his hunting trips, fishing adventures, 4-wheeler rides, and creek float excursions. For William, these hobbies weren’t just pastimes; they were a way to connect with nature and create lasting memories with his daughter and son.
William was a devoted and loving father, brother, and uncle. He always put his family first, deeply valuing the bond he shared. As a father, he was hands-on and nurturing, taking great joy in being present for every milestone and making sure his children felt supported and loved. His commitment to family extended to his role as a brother, where he offered unwavering support, laughter, and encouragement to his siblings, nieces, nephews, and cousins. Whether it was lending a helping hand or sharing a heartfelt conversation, William’s love for his family was evident in everything he did. He was a constant source of strength and care, and his presence in their lives will always be cherished.
William was preceded in death by his brother Ken Head, and several loving grandparents, aunts and uncles. He is survived by his children and their mother, Nomie Margaret (Maggie), William Ethan Fairley, and Kerri Fairley of San Antonio, TX, his parents Allen and Helen Fairley of Perkinston, MS, sisters, Tena Fairley of Perkinston, MS, Katie Fairley-Samudio of Orlando, FL, and Tammy Head of Hattiesburg, MS.
William was affectionately known as “Uncle William” or "Will Will" by his nephews and nieces: Ezzar, Kristian, Jonah, Ryan, Kinsley, Asher, Johnny, Marshel, Cory, Hazel, Jesse, Kailyn, Julian, Tristan, Cooper, Raymond, Lennon, Lula, Carson, and Dawson. A large extended family deeply loved him, all of whom will hold his memory close to their hearts and cherish the time they had with him.
Services will be held at 7pm on Monday, April 14th at Sunset Northwest Funeral Home San Antonio, Texas. A celebration of life will be held in William’s hometown at a later date.
