William Walton Flusche, age 52, passed away on Wednesday, September 9, 2020 in San Antonio, Texas. He was born on April 30, 1968 in Fort Worth, Texas to William and Vivian (Harrison) Flusche. William spent his early years in Ft. Worth, Texas, and his family moved to Houston when he was 11 years old. He attended Klein Oak High School in Spring, Texas and went on to earn a Bachelor’s degree in Communications from Southwest Texas State University. William spent his career in the food service industry, working for FSI handling major accounts, and for the past 6 years as a Business Development Manager for Land O’ Lakes. His passion for cooking and love of people made this a perfect and successful career for him. He was an active volunteer at Shrine of St. Padre Pio Catholic Church in San Antonio, Texas, helping with the Youth Ministry and serving on the Men’s and Teens ACTS Retreat teams. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus and served on his neighborhood HOA. William enjoyed photography, cooking, biking, woodworking, and entertaining. Most recently, he photographed a series of beautiful sunrises, texting them daily to friends and family. William was a man of character and a true friend. He was known to drive his girls downtown to pass out food to the homeless and be the first to offer help when needed. He was a true selfless servant, and a blessing to all. He had a love of life, an infectious smile, and a big bear hug for everyone he greeted. William was a loving father, husband and son; family meant the world to him. A general sentiment from all who knew him is that the world would be a better place if there were more people like William Flusche in it. To know him was to love him, and he will be forever missed. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather William Robert Flusche IV; maternal grandparents Willie Walton Harrison and Hattie Harrison. William is survived by his wife, Jennifer Barry Flusche; daughters Morgan Kathrine Flusche, Sydney Grace Flusche, and Payton Elizabeth Flusche; paternal grandmother Elvira Mary Flusche and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
