He graduated from Alamo Heights High School and St. Mary's University. He spent his entire career as a dedicated professor of Chemistry at San Antonio College including over a decade as chairman of the department of Chemistry and Earth Sciences. He was an active participant in the Holy Spirit Catholic Community for more than 45 years.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Virginia White.
William is survived by his wife of 49 years, Judith Haley; daughter, Carol Van Curen and her husband Tim; son, William T. Haley III and his wife Kathleen; grandchildren, Jessica and Catherine Van Curen and Lauren, Reese and Benjamin Haley. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family.
