Lt. Col. William (Bill) E. Fry, Jr., U.S. Army, Retired, age 82 of San Antonio, passed away on Tuesday, April 10, 2012 in San Antonio. He was born on November 22, 1929 in Dallas, TX to parents, Audia and William E. Fry, Sr. Bill served in the U.S. Army and fought in the Korean War. He also served in the Texas National Guard for a combined total of 32 years. Bill retired as Area Manager for Southwestern Bell after 38 years of service in San Antonio and Dallas, TX. He was a former rancher in Pipe Creek and an avid bowler in San Antonio. Bill was a member of Northwest Church of Christ for 12 years. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother. Bill is survived by his wife of 20 years, Blanche; children, Bill Fry, III and wife, Grace, Lindsey Fry, Christy Grodin of Dallas, TX, Monica Dockery and husband, Greg of New Braunfels, TX; grandchildren; great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
