William Robert Kelly, Jr. was born in Texarkana, Texas to William Kelly Sr and Margaret Estelle Kelly on January 19, 1951. He went to school in Shreveport, LA. He married Robin Pittman on July 29, 1983, in San Antonio, Texas. He graduated from University of Texas at San Antonio in 1982 with an BA in Education. He was a substitute teacher for several years and worked for a stereo store for several years. He owned his own Hobby Shop for 15 years and loved to build models of all kinds. He was a veteran of the United States Marine Corp and was awarded a National Defense Service Medal and a Rifle Marksman. He was an avid Houston Astros and Texas Longhorns fan. His greatest joy was going to his first World Series game with his son.
Bob is preceded in death by son Sean Thomas Kelly; parents William and Margaret Kelly; In-Laws Albert and Susan Pittman; brother-in-law Robert Coyle; sister-in-law Ramona Buford; nephews Alex Coyle and Kyle Buford.
Bob is survived by his wife of 43 years Robin Kelly; children Michael Kelly (Kim), and Ryan Kelly; sister Liane Coyle and his brother-in-law Raymond Pittman; nieces Cheryl (Gary) Price, Margie Coyle and Michelle (Marcus) White; nephews Kelly (Simone) Coyle; 11 great nieces and nephews and 14 great-great nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, November 8, 2025, at 2:00 pm at Northwest Hills Global Methodist Church, 7575 Tezel Road, San Antonio, Texas 78250 with Reverend Robert Barnes officiating.
Memorials may be given to the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention or the Wounded Warrior Project.
