He was born January 1, 1947, in Topeka, Kansas, to William and Margarite Kirkpatrick. William proudly served in the US Army.
A very devoted and loving father, he raised his daughter by himself and remained one of her best friends throughout his life. The light of William's life was his three grandchildren whom he loved dearly. He will be missed by all who loved and knew him.
William is survived by his loving daughter, Lisa Newhouse and husband, Michael; cherished grandchildren, Ceara, Kelly and Thomas Newhouse.
